Camouflage exhibition will run on VisualcontainerTV international videoart web channel for one month. The opening will present the videos and the artists to Milan art scene on November 14th 2017 at Viafarini-in-residence.
This year focus is on PUBLIC SPACE and RELATIONAL ATTITUDES. Students are welcome to present project that can fluctuate between documents, forgery, storytelling, etc. Proposals that formalize a research will be taken into consideration as well as those that take into account the latest developments in video art, exploring languages and relations with the viewer.
The purpose of this project is to open a network through which students can acquire experience in the field of independent production. This screening will be an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and experiences between those who teach, practice and explore video.
Camouflage is a project born at Vegapunk and run by three artists: Marisol Malatesta (spaziotilde.wordpress.com) Simona Da Pozzo (ex-voto.org) and Alessandra Arnò (visualcontainer.org ) realized in collaboration with Viafarini-in-residence and commissioned by Arts University Bournemouth and Non Riservato Network
Eligibility Fine Art and Media students from Arts University Bournemouth and artists studying in Italian art Academies can candidate videos realized since 2016. Videos shorter than 7' are privileged, but longer works can be submitted. You can submit more than 1 video-work.
Notice Selected artist have to take part at the screening and talk at Milan on November 14th at Viafarini and to the workshop at Non Riservato. Travels and overnights will be taken in charge by AUB university, for the students coming from Arts University Bournemouth, and by Non Riservato for students coming from Italian academies. The workshop will be held on November 13th and 14th.
Application procedure Deadline for applications: October 26th 2018. Applications must be fully completed and submitted in due time in order to be considered.
